RathYatra celebrated at Puri...

The Chariot of Prabhu Jagannath in Puri, Odisha, is part of the famous Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival) held annually. The festival involves the deities Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra being carried on massive chariots from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple, covering a distance of about 3 kilometers.
Each deity has its own chariot:
1. Nandighosa(Jagannath's chariot) - 45 feet high with 16 wheels.
2. Taladhwaja (Balabhadra's chariot) - 44 feet high with 14 wheels.
3. Darpadalana(Subhadra's chariot) - 43 feet high with 12 wheels.
The construction of these chariots is an elaborate process, beginning months in advance with precise rituals and traditional methods passed down through generations. The Rath Yatra attracts millions of devotees and tourists from around the world, making it a significant cultural and religious event.
